You play it everyday, but do you know where it all started. Back in 1988, Runescape started as a one man project by Andrew
Gower. The public never saw this version, in fact almost no one did and it was not called runescape, rather deviousmud. Now
long gone, we can say that the first runecape consisted of a small world and geometric shapes to make up figures and buildings. Then,
in 1999 Gower decided to make a second version of the game, with similar graphics and ideas. It was released to the public,
but only for a mere week. Although entertaining to the people who got it, there was still much to come. Then, in 2001 Gower
and his brothers created Runescape Classic, which attracted much attention until finally, what we know today as Runescape
2 emerged. On December 1, 2003 the beta version released and gossip spread like wildfire about the game. Still, today we run
on the same platform, with the new "members" feature to earn a penny or few for Jagex Ltd.
